Patriots Week 6 injury report: Key starter ruled out vs. Texans

RB Rhamondre Stevenson has been ruled out against the Texans

Antonio Gibson will be starting for a second straight week for the New England Patriots in Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans.

However, this time, he’ll be getting the bulk of the carries with Rhamondre Stevenson officially ruled out for the game with an ankle injury.

Along with Stevenson being out, the Patriots listed 11 players as questionable to play in the Week 6 matchup, including Kendrick Bourne, Anfernee Jennings, Marcus Jones, K.J. Osborn and Nick Leverett.

Here is the full injury report for the Patriots on Friday:

Out

RB Rhamondre Stevenson, Foot

Questionable

CB Isaiah Bolden, Hamstring
WR Kendrick Bourne, Knee
LS Joe Cardona, calf
Kyle Dugger, Ankle
LB Anfernee Jennings, Shoulder
CB Marcus Jones, Groin
C Nick Leverett, Ankle
WR K.J. Osborn, Shoulder
G Layden Robinson, Ankle / Wrist
LB Sione Takitaki, Knee
CB Marco Wilson, Groin

The Patriots being short-handed in the offensive backfield is a tough situation with the team starting rookie No. 3 overall draft pick Drake Maye at quarterback for the first time.

They’ll have to lean heavily on the legs of Gibson and backup JaMycal Hasty to help carry the load.
