Patriots Week 6 injury report: Key starter returns on Thursday

S Kyle Dugger was back on the practice field for the Patriots on Thursday

There was both bad news and good news for the New England Patriots on Thursday’s injury report.

The bad news was that running back Rhamondre Stevenson was still out at Thursday’s practice with a foot injury. He went down with a lower-leg injury in last week’s loss to the Miami Dolphins and did not return to the game.

The fact that he’s not practicing at all is a bit concerning when it comes to his status and availability for the Week 6 matchup against the Houston Texans.

As for the good news, the Patriots welcomed back safety Kyle Dugger, who missed the game against the Dolphins with an ankle injury. With Jabrill Peppers currently on the Commissioner’s Exempt List, the Patriots need all of the help they can get in the defensive backfield, and they might get it if Dugger returns fully.

Here’s the full injury report from Thursday:

The Patriots are still missing multiple key players, but they do seem to be getting healthier at the right time. We’ll see if it’s enough to fend off a tough Texans team that looks like a legitimate playoff contender.
