Patriots Week 16 injury report: Key defensive players battling injuries

Three players missed Wednesday’s practice

The New England Patriots released their first official injury report of the week ahead of the Week 16 clash with the Buffalo Bills.

Three players did not participate in Wednesday’s practice, including safety Kyle Dugger, who is battling an ankle injury as well as recovering from an illness. Cornerback Marcus Jones and running back JaMycal Hasty were also listed as non-participants.

Nine players had limited participation at practice, including cornerback Christian Gonzalez, who is battling a shoulder injury.

Some of the other notable players on the report include offensive tackle Caedan Wallace, who is battling an ankle injury. Cole Strange is also still working his way back from a knee injury.

Injuries on the defensive side of football are particularly notable, as the Patriots get set to face a Bills team that has the second-best scoring offense in the NFL.

They are currently throwing for 238.8 passing yards per game, while also averaging 130.8 yards on the ground. Slowing them down could prove to be an uphill battle for the Patriots.
