The New England Patriots will be without two of their rookie contributors in Sunday’s AFC East showdown with the visiting New York Jets.
Wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk and offensive guard Layden Robinson were both ruled out for the game on Friday’s injury report. Polk is currently in concussion protocol, while Robinson is dealing with an ankle injury.
With Polk being out, Tyquan Thornton is expected to be inserted back into the lineup. Meanwhile, the Patriots are hopeful Sidy Sow and Michael Jordan will be healthy enough to fill the guard positions with Robinson sidelined this week.

Patriots tackle Vederian Lowe could be ready to return from his ankle injury this week. The revolving door of the team’s starting offensive line will likely continue into Week 8, but that could be a good thing for the Patriots with some of the better linemen potentially contributing.
Protection up front will be vital when facing a ferocious Jets defensive front that dominated the first meeting between the two teams.
