New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk posted a cryptic message on Instagram, following the team’s 40-7 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday.
Polk received one target for the game but did not record a single catch. The rookie wide receiver has struggled this season, recording 12 catches for 87 yards and two touchdowns. He has received 33 targets in total.
The former Washington standout had a promising start to the season after scoring a touchdown in the season-opener against the Cincinnati Bengals. And then things went completely cold.
“The most hated,” Polk posted on Instagram.

It’s hard to know what Polk is saying for sure.
The Patriots did come under fire after Chargers wideout Ladd McConkey, who the Patriots passed on for Polk in the 2024 NFL draft, hung 94 receiving yards and two touchdowns on them.
It has been a difficult season for the Patriots as a whole, as they have not won a game since November 10 against the Chicago Bears. All eyes will be on Polk to see if he can bounce back in Year 2.
