The New England Patriots suffered a big hit defensively with safety Kyle Dugger going down with a knee injury in Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
It has been a rough week in the defensive backfield for the Patriots with Adrian Phillips nursing a rib injury and Joshuah Bledsoe still working through a groin injury. Dugger is one of the team’s best playmakers on both sides of the ball, and his absence will clearly be felt.
It’s the next man up with more work going to veteran Jabrill Peppers, as the Patriots try to hold on to a 10-3 second-half lead in Pittsburgh.
