New England Patriots center David Andrews indicated that his surgery went well and that he wants to play football up until the 2027 season, according to MassLive’s Mark Daniels.
Andrews went down with a season-ending shoulder injury against the San Francisco 49ers in October. He was placed on injured reserve on October 4.
The Georgia product has had a dependable and productive career with the Patriots. He has played in 124 games and started in 121 of them. The two-time Super Bowl champion has been an integral part of the Patriots’ offensive line ever since his arrival.
Now, it appears he is making solid progress with his recovery for a potential return.

Andrews’ return would certainly be a big boost for the Patriots’ offensive line and the team overall.
His veteran leadership will be important in helping to provide stability for quarterback Drake Maye with a new head coach coming in. At 32 years old, Andrews is still one of the best available options for the struggling Patriots along the offensive front.
