Reports dropped on Monday afternoon that Julian Edelman’s contract was terminated due to a failed physical.
The 34-year-old missed ten games last season due to a knee injury and he’s dealt with chronic knee issues over the past few seasons. The Super Bowl MVP poured his heart out for the New England Patriots for 11 seasons and brought countless memories. Edelman’s a three-time Super Bowl champion and his name will be etched in Patriots’ history forever.
But, Father Time finally caught up to him and he’s officially retiring from the NFL. Edelman went to social media to release a retirement video that spanned four minutes. Be aware, this one could cause some tears, Patriots fans.
