Patriots’ initial 53-man roster revealed after final roster cuts

The initial 53-man roster is set for the Patriots.

The initial 53-man roster is set for the New England Patriots, following the final round of roster cuts on Tuesday.

There were some obvious surprises for the team to get to this point, including the releases of defensive tackle LaBryan Ray, along with defensive back and special teams standout Justin Bethel.

Keep in mind, the roster situation is still fluid for the Patriots with the waiver wire deadline next up on the itinerary. NFL teams have until 12 p.m. ET on Wednesday to put in their claims for eligible players, while vested veterans, like Bethel, aren’t subject to going on waivers.

But at least for now, this is what the 53-man roster looks like for the Patriots.
