Patriots honor health care workers with cardboard cutouts at Gillette Stadium

The Patriots

The New England Patriots will honor health care workers during Monday Night Football at Gillette Stadium as the team faces the Buffalo Bills in Week 16. The Patriots have placed cardboard cutouts of healthcare workers in the stands as an initiative to show support for their contributions on the front line as the nation deals with the COVID-19 pandemic.

It’s one of many things Patriots owner Robert Kraft has done in an effort to help out the medical community during the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. He also contributed $1 million to purchase masks to help with the shortage of PPE during the early days of the pandemic, though it seemed hospitals had some snags using the masks.

A nice gesture.
