Patriots have been in contact with Seahawks running back Chris Carson

The New England Patriots have been in contact with Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson, who is a pending unrestricted free agent.

The Seattle Seahawks are one of a number of teams who haven’t added a single free agent to the roster yet but have already said goodbye to a couple of players from last year’s squad, including running back Carlos Hyde, who agreed to terms with the Jaguars on Monday.

Seattle could soon be saying goodbye to its starting running back as well if the two sides don’t/can’t/won’t come to an agreement on an extension for unrestricted free agent, Chris Carson.

A number of media outlets are now reporting that Seattle “has made a strong bid” for Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette, who is currently pondering an existing offer from Tampa Bay. But the Seahawks aren’t the only team interested in adding a running back.

The Patriots have also expressed an interest in “Lombardi Lenny,” but even more intriguing, have been in contact with Carson as well, according to the staff over at Around the NFL.
