The New England Patriots have filled their two open roster spots with two new signings on Tuesday. Per ESPN’s Field Yates and Mike Reiss, the team is signing wide receiver/special teamer Raleigh Webb to the 53-man roster and outside linebacker Ron’Dell Carter to the practice squad.
The move to sign Webb was a direct response to Cody Davis going down with a knee injury in the team’s Week 6 win over the Cleveland Browns. On Tuesday, the veteran special teamer was placed on injured reserve.
Webb was signed off the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad, and he’ll try to step in and help cushion the blow from losing a reliable and underrated player like Davis.
Raleigh Webb addition is a direct result of losing core special teamer Cody Davis (knee).
The Patriots are also expected to be filling an open practice squad spot with OLB Ron’Dell Carter. https://t.co/ro9lec9wiU

Meanwhile, Carter has been a journeyman that will be playing with his sixth different team in the last two years. This will be his first opportunity since getting waived by the Pittsburgh Steelers back in August.
