Patriots elevate Lil’Jordan Humphrey and Harvey Langi to active roster

Lil’Jordan Humphrey and Harvey Langi have been promoted to the active roster.

The New England Patriots are activating receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey and linebacker Harvey Langi from the practice squad to the main roster.

ESPN’s Mike Reiss reported the moves on Saturday.

Humphrey became somewhat of a fan-favorite and one of the Patriots’ most reliable receiving targets in the preseason. He hauled in a total of 13 receptions for 140 yards and one touchdown.

Along with playing receiver, the Patriots have tried him at tight end as well, which isn’t surprising considering the former Texas Longhorn is coming in at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds.

As for Langi, he’ll add a boost to the special teams, along with being another veteran at a young linebacker position for the team.

The Patriots will need all the help they get when trekking the sultry terrain of Miami Gardens at the Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday.

They’ll be facing a Miami Dolphins team that was a big spender in the offseason in acquiring former Kansas City Chiefs home run threat receiver Tyreek Hill.
