Patriots DT Christian Barmore’s status changes ahead of game vs. Rams

Christian Barmore is officially active for Sunday’s game

New England Patriots defensive tackle Christian Barmore was activated from the non-football illness list on Saturday. That means he will likely play in Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

It has been a steady progression for the defensive tackle, who returned to the practice field on Thursday for the first time since being placed on the non-football illness list. He was out on Friday, as part of the process from weaning off blood thinners.

Now, he is ready to go as the organization looks for their second win in a row.

This is certainly a positive development for a Patriots team that has been thin along the defensive line. Along with being a top-tier run-stuffer, Barmore’s pass-rushing abilities should also help a Patriots squad that ranks 13th in the NFL with 25 sacks on the season.
