Patriots dealing with unique situation as rookies report to training camp

The New England Patriots are dealing with a unique situation ahead of training camp

New England Patriots rookies reported to training camp on Friday.

However, they will be without a key tool as they begin their NFL journey.  Microsoft is currently experiencing an outage, and the Patriots, like many NFL teams, rely on them for their services, as noted by The Athletic’s Chad Graff.

The Microsoft outage is a result of what was supposed to be a security update by the cybersecurity company CrowdStrike. This caused everything from airports to restaurants having service issues. Starbucks’ mobile ordering app, for example, temporarily closed down as a result of the outage.

Now, the Patriots will have to find inventive ways to get things done with the digital impact the outage has caused.

Hopefully, this will be figured out soon, as the rest of the team is set to report to training camp next week. The first preseason game is set for Thursday, August 8 against the Carolina Panthers.
