The New England Patriots are losing a member of their scouting department to the Tennessee Titans. According to MMQB’s Albert Breer, college scouting director Monti Ossenfort is headed to the Titans.
Ossenfort has previously inquired for several positions within the league, according to MMQB. He interviewed for the Cleveland Browns general manager job in January. The Houston Texans have also wanted to interview him for the general manager job, sending two requests to New England. The Patriots have blocked both requests.
Ossenfort has been in the college scouting role for the Patriots since 2014. During this time, the Patriots have found some gems in the NFL Draft. Jimmy Garoppolo, Trey Flowers, Shaq Mason, Joe Thuney, and James White are some of the players that have proved to be successful in the NFL.

He will join an organization with several New England connections. Perhaps the most important one, Mike Vrabel is in the midst of helping restore the Titans back to their winning ways. They will be looking to build off an appearance in the AFC Championship game last season.
It will be interesting to see who the Patriots choose to fill this role. One thing is for certain: The organization always seems to do its homework when it comes to the draft.
