New England Patriots coach Jerod Mayo commented on the unfortunate news that star defensive tackle Christian Barmore was put back on the non-football illness list for experiencing “recurring symptoms.”
Barmore was working his way back from blood clots that began over the summer. He missed most of the regular season, but he did return for four games and helped boost the defensive line.
“I feel for Bar. He did everything right,” Mayo told media members, via Boston Herald’s Doug Kyed.
Mayo didn’t have any conversations about the future in regards to Barmore returning. The Patriots’ primary focus is for the 25-year-old defensive standout to be as healthy as possible.
Some things are bigger than football.
This is just the latest in what has been a rough season for the Patriots’ organization both on and off the field. Hopefully, Barmore will make a complete recovery and get back to living a full and healthy life.
