The Cleveland Browns will pick No. 2 in the 2025 NFL draft after the New England Patriots found a way to sneak out a win against the Buffalo Bills.
After their loss to the Baltimore Ravens, the three-win Browns lost their 14th game of the season. This resulted in the firing of offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey and offensive line coach Andy Dickerson. The Browns will now return to an offensive scheme they had success in instead of trying to build an offense around Deshaun Watson.
Of course, the Bills rested quarterback Josh Allen and the rest of their starters and did not show seventh round rookie Joe Milton much of anything exotic on defense as they prepared for the playoffs, but the Patriots found a way to get the job done nonetheless.
With the No. 2 pick, the Browns can now take one of Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders or Miami’s Cam Ward. The more realistic scenario, however, is that they sell the pick to the highest bidder for more first round picks and take the best player available when they come on the clock.
Thanks, New England!
