Patriots announce 13 offseason award winners and prizes

13 Patriots players earned an offseason award

The New England Patriots revealed 13 offseason award winners on Monday.

Per Patriots.com’s Mike Dussault, the winners showed consistency, a positive attitude, improvement and helped motivate others during the spring.

The players awarded this year include the following: David Andrews, Ja’Whaun Bentley, Jacoby Brissett, DeMario Douglas, Christian Gonzalez, Hunter Henry, Nick Leverett, Raekwon McMillan, K.J. Osborn, Jabrill Peppers, Brenden Schooler, Keion White and Deatrich Wise Jr.

That’s a strong mix of players including former captains, free-agent signings and longtime veterans.

According to Dussault, the winners will get to contribute to choosing songs for the daily practice music playlist. They’ll also get golf cart rides to and from the practice fields during training camp, along with one custom-cooked meal prepared by the team chef. Photos of the winners will also be displayed throughout the team facility.

The extra perks that come from winning an offseason award is coach Jerod Mayo putting his own spin on things. It’s a wise move to get the most out of the players in the spring.
