Peterson has been tremendous all year

Each local chapter of the Pro Football Writers Association awards a good guy award to one player from the team they cover. The Minnesota Vikings have theirs named after former right tackle Korey Stringer.

On Friday, the PFWA branch of Minnesota awarded cornerback Patrick Peterson the Korey Stringer Good Guy Award.

The Star Tribune’s Ben Goessling described Peterson as “cooperative, candid and insightful with reporters every week, offering valuable insight on the defense and the state of the team.” That isn’t always the case with players and the media, and

Peterson joins Justin Jefferson and Dalvin Cook as past winners.
