The reigning Super Bowl MVP passed for 269 yards, completed 27 of his 37 attempts, and threw three touchdown passes without being intercepted by Carolina’s swarming secondary.
Mahomes achieved success against the Panthers despite his offensive line’s struggle to provide him with a consistent pocket from which to throw the ball. He was sacked five times in the game but compensated for his lack of protection by rushing for 60 yards on five attempts.
