Parsons headlines 6 Cowboys held out, initial Week 3 injury report released

18 players combined appear on the initial Week 3 injury list. See what ails who as the Giants and Cowboys begin their prep. | From @KDDrummondNFL

Things are off by a day. The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants will exchange mean mugs and cold stares on a Monday this time, as the NFC East schedule kicks off for both teams in Week 3. With the delay by a day, the two teams did not get going with their regular schedules until Thursday, with the first full padded practice for both clubs.

With that, comes the initial practice/injury report of the week. The first time that each club has to report the injury situation for the players on their roster. The Cowboys are adding to their growing list of the walking wounded, with the number of players missing practice completely up to six. Not all of the players will be ruled out for the game, though. The team’s best two young defenders, Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs both showed up on the list, though both are expected to play.

The Giants have even more players on their list, including the core of their defensive line, though many were limited which can be an indication playing is a possibility. Here’s a look at the full practice report.
