D.J. Moore is entering his fourth year in the NFL. While his game remains somewhat raw in some areas, Moore has developed into one of the league’s most-promising young wide receivers. Since the Panthers drafted him in round one back in 2018, Moore has taken big strides in regards to his route running and ability to make contested catches.
One thing Moore has always been brilliant at is what he can do with the ball in his hands. This chart from Austin Gayle at Pro Football Focus shows Moore excels both at forcing missed tackles and adding yards after the catch.
For his career, Moore has posted a total of 1,187 yards after the catch.
Despite all the flashy stats and highlights, Moore’s production has had a relatively low ceiling due to injuries and poor play at the quarterback position. Hopefully Sam Darnold can help turn that around moving forward.
