Panthers Week 14 injury report: Christian McCaffrey DNP on Thursday

Here is the team’s updated Week 14 injury report.

Things are going in the wrong direction for Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey. He was limited at practice on Wednesday but today McCaffrey was one of several players who did not participate.

Here is the team’s updated Week 14 injury report.

Player Injury Wed Thu Fri Status
RB Christian McCaffrey Shoulder/Thigh Limited DNP

Hopefully Friday brings good news, but it sounds like McCaffrey is going to be ruled out for this week’s game against the Broncos. Coach Matt Rhule told reporters today that he does not expect No. 22 will play. If that’s the case, it will be the 10th game that McCaffrey has missed this year due to injuries. Mike Davis should start in his place again.

Cornerback is once again a concern, as well. Donte Jackson is expected to suit up on Sunday. However, Douglas clearly has something going on since he’s been ruled out two straight days. If he can’t go, rookies Troy Pride Jr. and Stantley Thomas-Oliver III should get more playing time.

The following names are still on the reserve/COVID-19 list, so obviously they did not practice: Curtis Samuel, D.J. Moore, Shaq Thompson, Zach Kerr, Derrick Brown.
