The Carolina Panthers made an adjustment to their practice squad fresh off their Week 10 loss to the Chicago Bears.
Joining the group will be defensive tackle Rashard Lawrence, who signed with the team on Friday. The 6-foot-2, 308-pounder played each of the prior three seasons as a member of the Arizona Cardinals.
Before making it to the pros, Lawrence was a standout defender at Louisiana State University from 2016 to 2019—where he totaled 120 combined tackles (20.5 for a loss), 9.0 sacks, seven passes defensed, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. His senior campaign would end with a Second-team All-SEC selection and a national title victory.
Lawrence was then selected in the fourth round of the 2020 draft by Arizona. He appeared in 25 for the Cardinals from 2020 to 2022, amassing 30 combined tackles.
To make room for the addition, the Panthers released cornerback Mark Milton. Milton, who spent the summer with the team as an undrafted free-agent, had been inked to the practice squad a week ago.
