Panthers re-sign G Michael Jordan

The Panthers have brought back G Michael Jordan.

Does this Michael Jordan get to put out a cool press release about his return? Either way . . . he’s back.

Per the league transaction wire, the Carolina Panthers officially re-signed guard Michael Jordan on Thursday. Jordan is now the second offensive lineman to return this week, as the team also brought back swing tackle Cameron Erving on a one-year deal this past Monday.

The 6-foot-6, 315-pound hog molly has spent the last two seasons in Charlotte. He was initially claimed off waivers by the Panthers on Sept. 1, 2021, after being let go by the Cincinnati Bengals a day earlier.

A former fourth-round selection, the Ohio State University product has played in 55 games during his four-year NFL career. 28 of those outings (and 10 of his 29 starts) have come in Carolina, where Jordan has played all but one of his 757 offensive snaps from the left guard position.

He now rejoins an interior bunch that includes starters Brady Christensen and Austin Corbett, Deonte Brown, Cade Mays, free-agent signing Justin McCray and 2023 fourth-round selection Chandler Zavala.
