Panthers reportedly set to place RB Chuba Hubbard on IR

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Panthers are expected to place RB Chuba Hubbard on injured reserve.

The career year of Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard may have met its end.

According to ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Panthers are expected to place Hubbard on injured reserve. The move, with just two games remaining in the 2024 campaign, would end the fourth-year back’s season.

The Panthers listed Hubbard on Friday’s injury report with a knee issue and ruled him as questionable for the team’s Week 17 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Head coach Dave Canales told reporters that Hubbard was amongst the players he expected to suit up for the NFC South showdown.

Hubbard—through 15 games—has recorded career-highs in carries (250), rushing yards (1,195) and rushing touchdowns (10).
