If you have Christian McCaffrey in your lineup, then you have to be feeling good. And the Carolina Panthers are reportedly feeling good about feeling good.
About six hours prior to kickoff of the team’s Week 4 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, Joseph Person of The Athletic reported that there remains optimism around McCaffrey’s status for Sunday.
While Christian McCaffrey plans to test his quad in early warmups, the Panthers remain optimistic McCaffrey will play today against the Cardinals, per sources.

For the first time here in 2022, the sixth-year running back missed consecutive days of practice. In addition to his usual rest period on Wednesday, McCaffrey was also a no-go for Thursday’s session.
Although he would return for some action on Friday in a limited capacity, the oft-injured rusher has been saddled with a questionable designation for today’s contest due to that quad issue.
Regardless, McCaffrey told reporters after the release of the final injury report that he’s feeling fine.
“I feel great. I feel great,” he said. “Just part of the deal. Ya know, play with some stuff every once in a while. But, feel great.”
We’ll see how great he, and the Panthers, really feel a bit later.
