Carolina Panthers running back Mike Davis can’t believe how much these Ruffles cost.
In a post on Twitter Sunday afternoon, Davis invited his followers to guess how much they are with a promise to cash app the amount.

Seems exorbitant.
In any case, Davis should be able to afford chips (and a lot of other things) much easier next season. In 2020 his cap number for the Panthers was $3 milion for what was supposed to be a backup role behind All-Pro starter Christian McCaffrey. It didn’t work out that way, though. McCaffrey spent most of the 2020 campaign on the sidelines due to a variety of injuries. In the end, he only played three games.
That was a golden opportunity for Davis to show he can be a true starter in this league and he more than answered the challenge. Davis proved shockingly elusive for a back with his frame (5-foot-9, 221 pounds) and wound up totaling 32 broken tackles for the year. He also posted over 1,000 yards from scrimmage (one of four Carolina players to do so this season) and scored eight touchdowns.
While it would be great if the Panthers could bring him back, odds are Davis will be able to sign a more lucrative deal with another team in free agency to be their full-time starter.
