The Carolina Panthers have promoted defensive back Natrell Jamerson from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of this weekend’s game with the Denver Broncos. Wide receiver Amara Darboh has been signed to take his place on the practice squad.
In addition to that short-term promotion, the team has signed Jamerson to a two-year contract extension, per the Charlotte Observer.

Jamerson has been one of the team’s key practice squad players this year, often being named among the four who are protected from being signed by other teams.
Since first joining the Panthers in 2019, he’s appeared in eight games, almost exclusively putting in time on special teams.
