Panthers LB Shaq Thompson gives a great answer on dealing with COVID-19

At least on one point Thompson has his head on right.

Panthers linebacker Shaq Thompson is taking on a new, larger leadership role with the team this year in the wake of Luke Kuechly’s early retirement. That’s about a lot more than just playing more snaps and telling his younger teammates where to be and what to do. Real leadership requires sacrifice and understanding how to achieve common goals.

At least on one point Thompson has his head on right. When he was asked about how the NFL can deal with COVID-19, he gave a terrific answer. Thompson said that you can’t be selfish and must think about other people, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Thompson has it exactly right.

The NFL season will start on time in September. If it is going to finish, players, coaches, trainers and everyone else involved need to take the virus seriously and follow the guidelines the experts have put in place to protect everybody.
