Another lineman has been added to the Panthers’ injury report for this week. This time it’s starting left tackle Russell Okung, who sat out Thursday’s practice due to a groin issue. Defensive tackle Kawann Short (foot) and left guard Dennis Daley (ankle) also did not participate today.
Here’s a look at the updated Week 3 injury report.
Player | Injury | Wed | Thu | Fri | Status |
OT Russell Okung | Groin | – | DNP
DT Kawann Short | Foot | DNP | DNP
OL Dennis Daley | Ankle | DNP | DNP
G John Miller | Ankle/Groin | Limited | Full
DE Yetur Gross-Matos | Concussion | Limited | Full
DE Brian Burns | Thigh | Limited | Full |
If Okung winds up not playing on Sunday against his former team, either Greg Little or Trent Scott will start in his place.
On the bright side, the team’s second-round draft pick, defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos has cleared the concussion protocol and returned to practice after getting poked in the eye last week.
