The Carolina Panthers have more competition for another one of their free-agent targets.
According to ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter, wideout Michael Gallup is expected to visit with the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday. The former Dallas Cowboys receiver reportedly had a meeting with the Panthers earlier this week.
Gallup was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft. The Atlanta, Ga. native entered the league as a consensus All-American out of Colorado State University—where he recorded 100 receptions for 1,418 yards and seven touchdowns in his final collegiate campaign.
He made an immediate impact for the Cowboys over his first three seasons—totaling 158 catches for 2,457 yards and 13 touchdowns from 2018 to 2021.
Gallup and the Cowboys agreed to five-year, $62.5 million extension in March of 2022, the offseason after he tore his ACL in the team’s Week 17 outing of 2021. He’s played in 31 games since, hauling in 73 receptions for 842 yards and six scores.
