Panthers coach Matt Rhule praises rookie WR Terrace Marshall

Marshall made a splash on Day 2 of training camp, though.

We haven’t heard much about Terrace Marshall since the Panthers picked him in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft. That’s because Marshall had been limited most of the offseason as he recovered from an injury.

Marshall made a splash on Day 2 of training camp, though. Head coach Matt Rhule praised his work today, per the Athletic.

“He’s got long arms. He’s got big hands. You can back-shoulder him. You can throw it over the top. Like any rookie, he’s going to have some good days, some bad days. I thought today looked like a good day.”

Here’s a look at one of Marshall’s catches, which came against A.J. Bouye.

Marshall projects as the WR3 on the depth chart behind D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson. However, his prior experience with Joe Brady and his ability in the red zone could make him one of the team’s most productive offensive pieces.
