The Carolina Panthers now have agreements in place with two of their 2021 NFL draft picks. Last week their fourth-round selection, former Oklahoma State running back Chuba Hubbard agreed to terms.
Today, the team announced that one of their fifth-round selections has done the same. Former Iowa DT Daviyon Nixon has also agreed to terms, according to the team website.
Nixon (6-foot-3, 313 pounds) totaled 8.5 sacks and 19 tackles for a loss with the Hawkeyes over the last two seasons. He’s one of two interior defensive linemen the Panthers picked this year. Kentucky’s Phil Hoskins (seventh round) was Carolina’s last draft selection in 2021.
