Now that’s disappointing. Vonn Bell is coming back to the NFC South, but he isn’t coming back to the New Orleans Saints. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero report that the Carolina Panthers have agreed to terms with the former Saints and Cincinnati Bengals safety, drafted by New Orleans out of Ohio State back in 2016.
Bell left for Cincinnati after finishing out his four-year rookie contract with the Saints, where he captained the Bengals defense and developed into a more-complete player. Now the Saints will be facing off with their old teammate twice a year in the always-competitive NFC South. Details on Bell’s compensation remain to be seen.
