Pair of former Panthers find new homes on Wednesday

On Wednesday, former Panthers James Bradberry and Morgan Fox landed on their feet.

A pair of former Carolina Panthers defenders landed on their feet Wednesday—with one going back home (sort of).

That semi-homecoming will see defensive lineman Morgan Fox head back to Los Angeles on a deal with the Chargers. Fox, prior to his one year in Carolina, played his first four NFL seasons with the Rams—the Chargers’ co-inhabitant over at SoFi Stadium.

That one season with the Panthers saw Fox record a career-high nine starts with 34 tackles and 1.5 sacks. The team parted ways with the 27-year-old on March 14, cutting Fox just two days before the start of free agency.

Earlier in the day, an older friend in James Bradberry also settled into a new home. Like Fox, the 28-year-old cornerback was released by his 2021 squad this offseason.

Bradberry inked on with the Philadelphia Eagles for a one-year, $10 million pact. After spending four campaigns with the Panthers, the former second-rounder signed on and played with the New York Giants over the past two seasons.
