The Big Ten Conference is absolutely loaded for the upcoming 2024 season. There are a number of teams projected in the early top 25, with Oregon, Michigan, and Ohio State all pegged as top in the country.
The coaches in the conference are also something to keep an eye on, although there are a number of new faces. Curt Cignetti went from James Madison to Indiana, and DeShaun Foster took over for Chip Kelly, who left UCLA to become the new offensive coordinator at Ohio State.
Patrick Conn of College Sports Wire ranked the top 12 coaches for the 2024 season, and a pair of Big Ten coaches made the list: Oregon’s Dan Lanning and Ohio State’s Ryan Day, who came in at No. 3 and No. 5, respectively.
Kirby Smart from Georgia earned the top spot, and one intriguing pick is Utah’s Kyle Whittingham, who came in at No. 2. As such, the Utes are a favorite to win the Big 12 Conference this season.
