Packers WR Davante Adams sets team record for catches, ties record for TD catches

Davante Adams now holds two of the Packers’ all-time receiving records for a single season.

Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams finished the 2020 regular season holding two of the team’s all-time receiving records.

Adams caught six passes for 46 yards and a touchdown during Sunday’s win over the Chicago Bears, setting the new Packers record for catches in a season at 115 and tying Sterling Sharpe’s team record for touchdown catches at 18. He finished 145 yards short of Jordy Nelson’s team record for receiving yards in a season.

Adams’ final stat line: 115 catches for 1,374 yards and 18 touchdowns over 14 games.

Adams averaged 8.2 catches, 98.1 receiving yards and 1.3 receiving touchdowns per game, all new team records.

“13.5 games, and you just had the most special season for a receiver in Packers history,” quarterback Aaron Rodgers said after the 35-16 win.
