Packers WR Davante Adams breaks his own single-season team record for catches

Packers WR Davante Adams broke his own record, set in 2020, for catches in a single season.

Packers receiver Davante Adams keeps upping the bar for greatness as a pass-catcher in Green Bay.

On Sunday night, Adams broke his own record for receptions in a single season when he made his 10th catch of the game in the fourth quarter against the Minnesota Vikings.

Adams set the team record at 115 last season. He’s at 116 and counting in 2021. (Adams actually added an 11th catch, putting him at 117.)

Adams owns three of the top four seasons in Packers history in terms of total catches. He’s the only player in franchise history with three seasons of at least 100 catches.

Adams needs only 22 more receiving yards to pass Jordy Nelson (1,519, 2014) for the most receiving yards in a single season in team history. It’s unclear if Adams will get a chance to break that record in Week 18 after the Packers clinched the No. 1 seed on Sunday night.

Adams also passed Don Hutson for fourth all-time in team history in receiving yards on Sunday night.
