Packers use Browns’ second round pick to select Oregon State TE Luke Musgrave

Pick no. 42, originally of the Browns, was used on the nephew of a Browns’ offensive staffer

The Cleveland Browns lost pick no. 42 in the 2023 NFL draft after falling back 32 picks in a pick swap to acquire wide receiver Elijah Moore from the New York Jets. That pick was then traded to the Green Bay Packers as the Jets traded for future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Packers have now used that pick on the nephew of Browns’ offensive staffer Bill Musgrave, Oregon State tight end Luke Musgrave.

An athletic freak, the production was not quite there for Musgrave during his time with the Beavers, suffering a season-ending injury early in 2022. The tape is the tape, however, as he finds himself off the board in the top 50.
