Injury updates

The Packers are still working through Carrington Valentine’s hamstring injury. Doesn’t sound like he’ll practice on Thursday. “We’re going to be very cautious when it comes to those.”
Running back Josh Jacobs is dealing with a new groin injury and won’t practice on Thursday.
Newcomer Don Callis, a rookie cornerback, has a hamstring injury.
Live news and updates from practice
Several veterans are getting rest days on Thursday, including Elgton Jenkins, Preston Smith, Rashan Gary and Kenny Clark.
Josh Myers is out to a personal matter, per Andy Herman.
Rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd produced a standout play early in practice:
MarShawn Lloyd with what looks like it would’ve been a long run up the left sideline with the starters. Maybe even a 50-ish-yard TD run. Offense and crowd love it. His shiftiness and burst stand out. Guy can move.

First round of kicking for Anders Carlson and Greg Joseph goes to Joseph, who is now three makes better through 27 kicks:
#Packers kicking short field, so can’t be sure of yardage, but significant day in position battle.
Anders Carlson missed 2 of 3, one wide left and other off left upright. That was his issue last year, pulling left.
Greg Joseph made all 3.
Carlson 22-27 in camp. Joseph 25-27.

A potentially big day in the kicker competition? Greg Joseph was a perfect 6-for-6, while Anders Carlson went 3-for-6 with three misses.
Joseph perfect again today – makes from 42, 51L and 49.
Carlson misses left from 49. Good from 42 and 51

Big catch from Dontayvion Wicks:
Dontayvion Wicks Show is back.
Beautiful over the shoulder grab from Love in two minute to defense 15. Good for 27. Also had first catch of drive for 13

The two-minute period for the No. 1 offense stalled out just short of the end zone after Jaire Alexander and Keisean Nixon teamed up for a stop of Dontayvion Wicks.
Greg Joseph and Anders Carlson both had a final kick from 58 yards in the two minute, and both made the kick, per Rob Demovsky. Joseph is 29-of-31, Carlson is 25-of-31.
Another practice in the books. Offense does push ups. Family Night up next.
Practice No. 9 goes 2 hours and 2 minutes. Offense does pushups, perhaps because of Alexander’s TD saving tackle in the first 2 minute drill.
