The Green Bay Packers will face the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft during the 2023 regular season.
The Packers are scheduled to go on the road to play the Carolina Panthers, who used the top pick on Alabama quarterback Bryce Young on Thursday night.
The Panthers traded up to the No. 1 pick with the Chicago Bears in order to get Young, the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner.
Young is the second top overall pick made by the Panthers, joining Cam Newton. The Packers faced Newton as a rookie, beating the Panthers 30-23 during a contest in which the first-year quarterback threw for a franchise-record 432 yards and rushed for 53 yards and a touchdown.
The Panthers are the only team picking in the top five on the Packers’ 2023 regular season schedule.
The full schedule for the 2023 season will be released later in the offseason.
