The Green Bay Packers tied the Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks and Baltimore Ravens for the most Pro Bowl selections in the NFL this season.
Each of the four teams had seven players selected.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, running back Aaron Jones, receiver Davante Adams, offensive tackle David Bakhtiari, guard Elgton Jenkins, edge rusher Za’Darius Smith and cornerback Jaire Alexander were the Packers’ seven original Pro Bowl selections, the team’s most in a single season since 2011.
The Packers also had six Pro Bowl starters, the franchise’s most since 1967.
The team’s record for Pro Bowlers in a single season is nine.
Five of the Packers’ seven selections in 2020 came on offense. No other team had more on the offensive side of the ball, and Matt LaFleur’s team was the only team to have a quarterback, running back, receiver and at least one offensive linemen selected.
Two of the Packers’ biggest snubs were tight end Robert Tonyan and center Corey Linsley, who each had a strong case for the recognition but were passed over.
Three of the Packers’ selections were first-time Pro Bowlers (Jones, Jenkins, Alexander). Only the Seahawks (four) had more first-timers.
The Packers’ seven Pro Bowl selections matched the entire total from the other three teams in the NFC North. The Detroit Lions had three, while the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings each had two.
Last season, the Packers had only two original Pro Bowlers (Rodgers, Bakhtiari). Adams, Smith and Kenny Clark were added following the NFC title game.
