The Green Bay Packers used the 236th pick in the 2020 draft on TCU safety Vernon Scott.
Scott played in 46 games at TCU with 12 starts. He produced 88 tackles, 12 pass breakups and two interceptions. His highlight moment was a 98-yard interception return for a touchdown against Oklahoma. He also helped seal a win for TCU with a forced fumble late against Texas Tech.
Scott was Dane Brugler’s No. 61 overall safety in the draft class.
Scott becomes the second TCU defender to be drafted by the Packers in the seventh round of the last two drafts, joining linebacker Ty Summers.
