Packers release undrafted free agent LB Caliph Brice

The Packers trimmed the roster to 89 players by releasing UDFA LB Caliph Brice on Wednesday.

The Green Bay Packers reduced the team’s roster to 89 players by releasing linebacker Caliph Brice following the first day of training camp on Wednesday.

Brice is an undrafted free agent from Florida Atlantic who signed with the Packers in May.

It’s possible the Packers are opening up a roster spot for quarterback James Morgan or receiver Ismael Hyman, who both tried out for the team in Green Bay on Wednesday.

The Packers have De’Vondre Campbell, Quay Walker, Krys Barnes, Ty Summers, Isaiah McDuffie, Ray Wilborn and Ellis Brooks left over at inside linebacker.

The Packers took Brice off the non-football injury list on Wednesday prior to releasing him.
