Packers QB Aaron Rodgers named NFC Offensive Player of Month for December

An award-winning final month of the 2020 season could propel Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a third NFL MVP.

Rodgers was named the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Month for December in 2020.

Over the final five games of the season, Rodgers threw 15 touchdown passes, had just one interception and rushed for two other scores for the Packers, who won all five games and clinched the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

Rodgers also completed 76.6 percent of his passes and had a passer rating of 131.9 during wins over the Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions, Carolina Panthers, Tennessee Titans and Chicago Bears.

The Packers averaged 32.0 points per game and had an average win differential of 12.3 points.

This is Rodgers first Offensive Player of the Month award since December of the 2016 season. He has nine total in his career.
