Packers OLB Za’Darius Smith snubbed from PFWA’s All-Pro Team

Packers OLB Za’Darius Smith should be used to getting snubbed.

Another week, another snub for Green Bay Packers outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith, who has fully embraced the role of being the overlooked snub of the NFL’s prestigious honors.

Smith was snubbed from the Pro Bowl and the AP All-Pro team.

And now he’s been snubbed by the Pro Football Writers Association.

The PFWA released their All-Pro team on Monday, and Smith wasn’t included. In fact, he didn’t even make the All-NFC team.

The four edge rushers picked for the All-Pro team were Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter, New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan, Arizona Cardinals outside linebacker Chandler Jones and Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers outside linebacker Shaquil Barrett joined Hunter, Jordan and Jones on the All-NFC Team.

Smith has turned the snubs into action. Immediately after not making the Pro Bowl, Smith terrorized Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings for 3.5 sacks and five tackles for losses. On Sunday, the Packers’ first game since the AP All-Pro team came out, Smith produced two more sacks as Green Bay beat Seattle in the NFC Divisional Round.
