Packers lose WR Romeo Doubs to concussion vs. 49ers

The Packers lost receiver Romeo Doubs to a concussion during Sunday’s showdown with the 49ers.

Green Bay Packers receiver Romeo Doubs was ruled out for the rest of Sunday’s showdown with the San Francisco 49ers after suffering a concussion during the third quarter.

Doubs was injured attempting to make a catch in the end zone on third down. He drew a pass interference penalty but was unable to complete the catch, and his head hit the ground hard.

The Packers evaluated Doubs in the blue medical tent before escorting him back to the locker room.

Doubs caught three passes for 54 yards, including a 29-yarder on third down in the first half. He also dropped two passes.

The Packers have a short week coming up — the Miami Dolphins come to Lambeau Field on Thanksgiving Night next Thursday. Doubs will be hard-pressed to get through the league’s concussion protocol in just a few days, putting his status for Week 13 in serious jeopardy.

Running back Josh Jacobs is questionable to return while dealing with cramping. He went back to the locker room after scoring a 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
