Green Bay Packers rookie tight end Luke Musgrave was ruled out of Thursday night’s showdown with the Detroit Lions with a confirmed concussion.
Musgrave, the Packers’ second-round pick, caught one pass for one yard before exiting the contest. He was evaluated for a concussion in the first half and officially ruled out during the third quarter.
Without Musgrave on the field, third-round pick Tucker Kraft made his first NFL catch — gaining six yards — on the Packers’ first drive of the second half
Musgrave will enter the league’s concussion protocol and will need to pass through the protocol to return to the field. Helping his cause is a long week of recovery ahead. The Packers don’t play again until next Monday night.
